A Thoughtful Approach to Selling a Loved One’s Home
My journey has been shaped by both professional experience and personal purpose. My husband and I lived in New Mexico for three years, while I completed my last year in college while working in apartment leasing. After moving back to Minnesota, we lived in Champlin for seven years and I was fortunate enough to work with Carlson Real Estate, on the commercial side of the real estate industry. Each chapter has added depth to my understanding and love for real estate.
I had the blessing of growing up in Chanhassen and Maple Grove—back when those communities were still primarily beautiful, open farmland—and those early roots in those communities instilled in me a deep appreciation for home, legacy, and community.
For more than 20 years, Elk River has been our home. It’s where my husband and I raised our three incredible boys, and where I became deeply rooted in the community through volunteering, education, and service. It’s also where I followed a calling that would become one of the most meaningful accomplishments of my life—bringing the first authentic Montessori charter school to Elk River as the founding Board Chair. After five years worth of work, we opened its doors in 2020, amidst the uncertainty of COVID-19, which was both the biggest challenge and a triumph. Today, it continues to thrive as a lasting reflection of vision, perseverance, and heart.
During that same season, I continued to develop my residential real estate business. While, personally, my family and I experienced profound loss—the passing of beloved family members; two siblings, our in-laws, and the transition of a parent into memory care. Walking through those moments reshaped my perspective and ultimately defined the purpose behind my work. Today, my work in real estate is centered around guiding families through one of life’s most meaningful and emotional transitions: letting go of a loved one’s home with care, intention, and grace.
I understand, firsthand, that selling a home in these circumstances is never just about the property—it’s about honoring a life, preserving memories, and navigating the weight of change. Because of this, I approach every client relationship with a sense of quiet luxury: thoughtful guidance, elevated service, and a deeply personal level of care.
My role is to bring clarity to complexity, calm to what can feel overwhelming, and a seamless, beautifully managed experience during a time that deserves nothing less.
